Responding to Restaurant Lobby Day, Worker Advocates Call for Local Control and Workplace Protections
LANSING — On Tuesday, worker advocates, elected officials and concerned citizens will hold a press conference to call for worker protection legislation, health care reform and local control to ensure restaurant employees are fairly compensated and protected on the job. The press conference is in response to the Michigan Restaurant Association’s annual lobby day, which has consistently fought against legislation that would help workers and families.
